Brake light indicators for dashboard - are linked to ignition and brake light circuit to monitor supply and actual functioning

The brake light control circuit uses two simple integrated circuits which are connected by cross connections to monitor the two sides of the vehicle lighting as well as the function of the brake lights. Two indicator lights on the dashboard give an indication if any rear light fails and if the brake lights are operating. The cross-connection provides a fail-safe connection so that the system also gives a clear indication if one of the integrated circuits has failed.
