<p>PURPOSE:Metal plate configuration is measured after rolling, and the measured value is used to control the peripheral speed ratio of the working rolls, thereby to produce flat shaped metal plates, to automate corrective operation, and to enhance efficiency. CONSTITUTION:The shafts of the upper and lower working rolls 1, 2 are connected through the reduction gear 3 having differential gear mechanism to respective output shafts of the motors 4, 5 so that the peripheral speed ratio of the upper and lower working rolls 1, 2 can be independently varied by the motors 4, 5. To detect the configuration of metal plate after rolling, the detector 6 is connected to the controller 7 for the motor 4, 5 so that the motor speeds are controlled according to the signal from the configration detector 6. So controlled peripheral speed ratio variation changes the rolling load, thereby providing correctly shaped metal plates.</p> |
