<p>Mast mount for a sail board with a mast shoe designed as a fitting hole in the sail board and a mast joint with mast base peg is claimed. The mast base peg is anchored in the fitting hole and has, at its free end, an adjustably spreadable elastic body. The fitting hole has a collar serving to impede extraction of the spreadable body. The collar extends into an annular groove between mast base peg and spreadable body when the mast base peg is fitted. The dia. of that body is greater than that of the collar. The spreadable body is a rubber ball which can be compressed by a screw and thus spread or widened in a plane perpendicular to the screw. The rubber may be natural and/or synthetic rubber, Shore hardness about 35. The mast mount features flanged sleeves of polypropylene, polyoxyamethylene or polyamide, glued with silicone adhesive to the mast mount which is itself of plastics foam.</p> |
