Built-up tube drawing die - enables worn parts formed as laminations and segments to be renovated and reused

Tube drawing die is composed of a number of laminations with tapered bores. The angle of the taper is the same for all the laminations which are so arranged that all the bores form a common conical surface. The laminations which give the tube its final outside dia. are made of hard metal whilst the other laminations can be of lower grade material. The other laminations can be renovated by re-boring and then used in a different position inside the housing. This feature reduces the amt. of expensive material in the die.
