The egg boiling apparatus consists of a heating shell (3) with an electric heating element, a main switch, and a temperature regulator (6) for switching-off the heating element after completed boiling, as well as an acousting indicator (11). An additional heat sensitive switch (7) is mounted on the heating shell. The additional switch has a resiliently mounted adjusting head (8). It serves for switching-off the indicator after completed boiling, and for switching-on the indicator after cooling down of the shell below the resetting temperature of the temperature regulator. Preferably the adjusting head is secured to a free end of a sprung lever, whose other end is fastened in an insulating socket. The adjusting head may protrude through an aperture (9) in the boiling apparatus housing (1).
