<p>The hygrometer has a perpendicular tube (4). The string (3) runs through this tube or, if a bar is used instead of a tube, next to the bar. The string is fastened to the top part of the hygrometer housing. The pivoting beam(5) and the string are fastened at the bottom part of the tube. The housing may be rectangular, round, oval or polygonal and have a cover to fit it. The housing may consist of a sleeve (11), a base part (12) and a cover (2). The string may be a gut string,, a twisted hair or a synthetic thread.</p> |
