The fitting has a tubular case which is filled with a fluid insulating medium, in which the h.v cable with a prefabricated elastic control element is inserted. The cable sheath is removed in the insertion tube area, and sealed. A concentric metal tube (19) is provided in the area of removed cable sheath (1) on which rests a collar-like cylindrical projection (17') of the control element (17). Its other end is tightly joined to a tube (16) surrounding the cable sheath (1) and connected to the fitting case (7), or to the cable metal sheath.
