Fabric fulling process - uses throttled surge of treatment medium delivered from jets to moving fabric

Applicaton of a continuous thermal treatment to a permeable fabric has a surface of jets to deliver bursts of throttled treatment medium. The feed to the jet slits is, at the same time, increased in bursts across the corresp. range so that the fabric has a fulling effect. The impulses of the throttled bursts of treatment medium match the speed of fabric travel and/or the type of fabric. An adjustment flap is provided to adjus the throttled bursts of treatment medium to the surface of jets. jets slits under the upper level of the conveyor, are linked to a blower chamber with sealing bars. The process gives a consistent fulling effect across the whole width of the fabric.
