PURPOSE:To reduce the slapping noise of a piston in a piston reciprocating type internal combustion engine by forcibly supplying lubricating oil between the piston and the wall surface of a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:An axially slidable spherical pump piston 20 is inserted into a pump chamber 19 formed in a crank case 5 in an oil pump 17 to mount eccentrically an arm 21 integrally provided with the piston 20 at one end of a crankshaft 6. The pump 17 discharges lubricating oil in the vicinity of the bottom dead point of the piston with the piston 20 sliding in the chamber 19 upon rotation of the crankshaft 6 to supply the oil into the cylinder 3 from the lubricating oil inlets 12, 13. The supplied oil forms an oil film between the skirt portion 4a and the wall surface of the cylinder 3 to thus reduce the slapping noise of the piston 4 thereby. |
