PURPOSE:To reduce the slapping noise of a piston in a piston reciprocating type internal combustion engine by providing two lubricating oil inlet ports at both sides perpendicular to the axial direction of the piston to thereby forcibly lubricate even if the piston is inclined in the vicinity of bottom dead point. CONSTITUTION:When a pump driving cam 21 is rotated upon revolution of a cam shaft 11 synchronously driven by a crankshaft 6 upon operation of an internal combustion engine, an oil pump 16 discharges oil by the projection 21a of the cam 21 in the vicinity of the bottom dead point of the piston to thereby lubricate oil from lubricating oil inlets 15, 15' into a cylinder 3. This oil is supplied to the gap between the skirt portion 4a of the piston 4 disposed at the bottom dead point and wall surface of the cylinder 3 to form relatively thick oil film within the gap by the oil thus supplied to thereby control the inclination of the piston 4 via the oil film when changing its moving direction. Thus, the piston slapping noise of the piston 4 can be reduced to hit the wall surface of the cylinder 3. |
