PURPOSE:To extract the active constituent of the title substance useful as a maltose preparation enzyme from a raprseed refuse efficiently, by treating an aqueous suspension of the refuse under a specific pH. CONSTITUTION:A 1-20% aqueous suspension of a rapeseed refuse is adjusted to pH about <=5, usually 1-4, with a mineral acid, e.g. hydrochloric or sulfuric acid, or an organic acid, e.g. acetic or citric acid, to extract a substance promoting alpha-1,6- glucosidase production of bacteria at room temperature or above for 1-20 hr. The suspension is then filtered or centrifuged to give the desired substance. EFFECT:The extract added to a medium can promote considerably the production of alpha-1,6-glucosidase without trouble of medium control and bacteria removal compared with the rapeseed refuge used directly as a medium component. |
