<p>LIGHT EMITTING DIODE DEFLECTOR SEGMENT A method and apparatus to improve electroluminescent semiconductor display segments by decreasing the brightness of the "hot spot" located over the light emitting diode and increasing the brightness of the end portions of the segment. These improvements are accomplished by inserting a deflector into the translucent medium directly over the light emitting diode and deflecting, to the segment ends, a portion of the light that would have made up the bright "hot spot".</p> |
