PURPOSE:To obtain a simple and useful unit which makes communication among many apparatuses installed discretely by using a relatively wide spectral-width light source with its output light devided. CONSTITUTION:This unit is provided with light source 1 outputting a continuous wave of relatively-wide spectral width and several modulators 4 which receive the continuous wave from the light source 1 via photo transmission lines 2 and then modulate only the fixed wave component of narrower width of the spectral width of light source 1; and the terminal transmission line 2 is connected to photo branching filter 5 of central unit 100. The wave components divided and inputted by respective modulators 4 are divided by photo branching filter 5 and then applied to photo detectors 6, in which they are converted into electric signals, and electric signals are demodulated by receiving circuit 7 and then outputted. Light source 1 in this constitution uses several luminous elements 8 and composition circuit 9 which mixes output beams from those elements 8 or light emission diodes of wider luminous spectral width. |
