PURPOSE:To make it possible to attain both slow reproduction and still reproduction of high quality by equipping a simple additional method to a multi-head magnetic-tape video reproducing unit or a similar recording-reproducing unit. CONSTITUTION:Head assembly 11 composed integrally of heads 1a to 1d, drum 2 and head motors, etc., rotation-driving them is fixed to support stand 12, and one terminal 13 of stand 12 is axis-supported rotatably, but the other terminal 14 is in gear with worm gear 15. Once gear 15 rotates by being driven by motor 16, stand 12 slants including assembly 11 and according to it, relative angles of heads 1a to 1d against tape 4 are controlled to angle (theta) equivalent to recording track 5. Therefore, when the running speed of tape 4 is decreased below a stationary speed, slanting assembly 11 according to the variation makes it possible to obtain the maximum output, and slow reproduction and still reproduction of high quality can be both realized. |
