A connector unit for a rotationally- symmetrical lamp is provided as an integral unit for mounting on the lamp reflector (5). The unit symmetrically encloses a support frame (1) of the lamp and is spaced therefrom by a cooling channel (7). The unit has a choke winding that is formed in two parts (2,2) at respective sides of the frame (1) and separated therefrom by the cooling channel (7). Other electrical components (3) of the unit are disposed between the winding parts (2,2). A thermally-insulating cylinder (4) may be disposed in the cooling channel (7) to insulate the electrical components (2,3,10) of the unit from the lamp.
