PURPOSE:To smoothen the transfer of toners between conveyor passages thereby to improve the reliability of a conveyor by intersecting two conveyor passages, which are equipped with respective forced conveyor means, in a planar form at their joint portion. CONSTITUTION:The toner conveying direction by a first conveyor coil 19 and the toner conveying direction by a second conveyor coil 21 are intersected in a planar form within a coupler 27. The toners which are conveyed out of a cleaning device 11 by the first conveyor coil 10 are first forced out of the leading end of a conveyor pipe 26 until they abut against the inner walls of the second conveyor coil 21 and the coupler 27. The toners are then conveyed from the coupler through a conveyor pipe 31 in a preset direction. Since, in that way, the first and second conveyor passages are intersected in the planar shape, the reliability of the conveyor can be enhanced without forming any toner bridge at the intersecting portion. |
