PURPOSE:To shorten the measuring time by photometer and enhance the maneuverability, by automatically controlling the dilution by comparing the measured values of specimen of known concentration and specimen of unknown concentration. CONSTITUTION:A specimen of known concentration 7 is sucked and supplied into a specimen container 12 by means of a dilution vessel 4, and is mixed with combustion gas in a burner chamber 2 to be atomizated in a burner 3. The absorbancy measurement of this atomizated specimen by an atomic absorption photometer 1 is stored in a memory 13. Similarly, the absorbancy of a specimen of unknown concentration 8 is measured while being diluted with a diluent 9 in the dilution vessel 4. The both measurement are compared in a comparator 6, and the dilution continues in the dilution vessel 4 by way of a control part 5 until the both values coincide with each other. At the same time, the concentration of the specimen 8 is displayed in a display part 11 through a processing part 10 in which the concentration of the specimen 7 has been preset. Meanwhile, if the absorbancy of the specimen 8 is lower, an alarm is issued through the comparator 6 and the absorbancy of the specimen 8 is displayed in the display part 11, so that the concentration may be determined. |
