PURPOSE:To increase the charging efficiency of toner and perform good developing by so arranging the device that the electric resistance from charging electrodes down to the ground via developing roller surface is smaller than the electric resistance between the electrostatic latent image carrier making contact to developer and the charging electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A toner doner 10 which has an endless surface consists of a grounded conductive substrate 11 and a conductive layer 12 and a toner layer 13 is formed thereon. An electrostatic latent image carrier 16 is guided by a revolving roller 17 so as to make contact to this toner layer 13. Since these are so constituted and disposed that the electric resistance from the two electrodes 14, 15 for charging the toner through the points C, B of the contact respectively thereof to the toner down to the ground is smaller than the electric reistance from the point A of contact between the electrostatic latent image carrier 16 and the toner up to the electrodes 14, 15, the currents flowing from the electrodes 14, 15 fully effectively flow to the conductive substrate 12, thus the charging efficiency of the toner is improved. |
