Construction process for silo - with rectangular concrete panels dry jointed horizontally and fixed by in-situ corner columns to form square cells

The industrial system for building sites etc. utilises precast reinforced or prestressed concrete panels in walls and roofs. Horizontally elongated rectangular panels are placed on edge and one on top of another to construct a wall, structural continuity being obtained by in situ concrete columns (1, 2, 3) at wall intersections. The panels are of wall length and form square or rectangular comparments, the horizontal inter panel joints being of a dry tongue and groove type with or without compression seals and allowing the structure to tolerate differential settlemtn or seismic effects. Similar panels may be used in the roof, spanning horizontally, and connected to the walls by peripheral in situ concrete beams.
