PURPOSE:To achieve the unitization of hour striking circuit portions and start the production of hour striking sounds based on the just time signal of the watch body and achieve the improvement of reliability by providing a just time signal generator which is driven by the wheel trains cooperating with the hands operation of the watch body. CONSTITUTION:The device is constituted by a just time signal generator 3 which is driven by the wheel trains 2 cooperating with the hands operation of a watch body 1, a striking sound period pulse signal generating means which is driven by the just time signals thereof and generates the striking sound period pulse signals, an hour striking logic means which subtracts the striking sound period pulse signals thereof with a subtraction counter 4 having beforehand been set at the specified number and stops the operation of the striking sound period pulse signal generating means when the contents of the counter 4 have become zero and a sounding means which produces the hour striking sounds based on the striking sound period pulse signals. Thereby, coupling of the watch body and the hour striking circuit portions consisting of electronic circuits is simplified. |
