A hanger for a sliding door comprises a vertical door attachment plate 10, a vertical roller mounting plate 22 with horizontal axles 23 for rollers 25 which engage a track 26 the two plates 10, 22, being inter-connected to be relatively vertically displaced by a crank mechanism consisting of a circular disc 28 mounted in a horizontally elongated slot 27 in the plate 22 and having an eccentrically disposed rod 29 secured thereto passing through a hole 19 in disc 10 so that rotation of the rod 29 about its axis rotates the disc 28 eccentrically to move the disc 22 vertically with respect to disc 10 and thus adjust the rollers relative to the door 12. The plates 10, 22 are locked in position by nut 31 and horizontal relative movement of the plates is prevented by slots 21 in plate 10 and screws 32 passing through these slots into plate 22. The attachment plate 10 has a mounting plate 11 through an aperture in which the pivot bolt 17, Fig. 4 passes through a bearing plate 34 secured within a groove in the upper edge surface of the door, a locating nut 38 on the lower end of bolt 17 engaging in a hole in the door and with a locking nut 40. For a single roller the plate 22, takes the form of a disc rotatable about the eccentric axis connecting with that of the rod 29, in the hole 19. |
