<p>The draining and cleaning system is for mobile tanks which have contained a toxic halogen product. The tank is placed in an enclosed space from which air is continuously extd., and in a first stage gas under pressure in the tank is passed into a liquid absorbing it until ambient pressure is reached inside the tank. In a second stage and where the prod. is chlorine the tank is flushed out three and pref. four times with dry inert gas, the pressure in it being raised each time to 5-6 bars and then returned to ambient. In a third stage the tank is rinsed with water for a long period, and in a fourth stage rinsing is carried out with a strong brewing action using water contg. a neutralising agent. Finally the tank is rinsed with water and dried out.</p> |
