<p>The switch interlock mechanism is esp. suitable for use in circuit breakers. The interlock is based on an intermediate holding section consisting of a roller or ball or a combination of both. Latching is achieved by focring two such balls (19a, 19b) into slots in the walls of a rectangular channel. The balls are trapped within a block (13) free to move along the channel. Both balls are forced sideways by a single ball (14) being pressed between them by a roller (18) swung through an arc centred (16) on the axis of the channel and free to move in the axis of the channel.</p> |
