<p>The die contains coolant channels fed with water by a delivery pipe (I) and an outlet pipe (II), both pipes being connected to a mixing valve which also has an inlet pipe for fresh water, and a drain pipe; a water pump is located in pipe (I). Three thermocouples are located in the die and pipes (I) and (II), and are connected to an electronic controller which adjusts the angle of the core in the valve; the core is moved electrically, and its angle determines the amt. of outlet water fed back to pipe (I) or fed into the drain. The delivery vol. of the water pump is pref. adjustable. The inlet pipe may alternatively be connected to pipe (I) upstream of the water pump. Automatic regulation of the die temp. is obtd. using the min. amt. of cooling water.</p> |
