<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the adhesion of powder, etc. to a tool-attaching surface and to improve the accuracy of tool attachment by feeding a clean fluid to the head of a cutting tool after supply of coolant. CONSTITUTION:In a tool or tool holder 7 set up so as to remove freely to a main shaft 1, there are pierced coolant-feeding passages 24, 25 opening toward the edge of a cutting tool 7a. Coolant-feeding passages 21-23 connected to coolant-injection passages 24, 25 are also pass through the main shaft 1. An electric pump 30 is actuated simultaneously with the rotation of the main shaft 1 to feed the coolant to the edge of the cutting tool 7a through the feed passages 21-23 and the injection passages 24, 25. After finishing processing by the cutting tool 7a, the tool is retired from a work, and the electric pump 30 is ceased to stop the supply of the coolant. There, an electric pump 40 is actuated and a clean fluid is jetted through the injection passages to the edge of the cutting tool to blow off powder, etc. adhering to a tool-attaching hole and an engaging plane of new and old tools.</p> |
