ELECTRONIC HOUR STRIKING CIRCUIT

PURPOSE:To achieve the simplification of circuits by obtaining signals for hour striking sounds and the signals for operating a hand-operating motor driving circuit from the same frequency dividing circuit. CONSTITUTION:A circuit of dividing down the frequency of a crystal oscillation circuit is provided and the frequency divided outputs thereof are supplied to a motor driving circuit to form the hand-operating motor driving signals. From the outputs of the specified frequency dividing stage of the frequency dividing circuit, two sets of frequencies f1, f2 are formed and these frequencies are synthesized to obtain the audio signals for hour striking sounds. In addition, the signals from the frequency dividing stage after the specified frequency dividing stage of the frequency dividing circuit are obtained as the hour striking period pulse signals for determining the striking sound periods of the hour striking sounds.
