The machine crimps a pre-grooved metal sheet (2) onto a tube (1) utilising pairs of rollers (5) whose axes converge. The rollers are mounted on vertical axles projecting from a sub structure are co planar. Each roller has a semi circular groove (5a) conforming to the finished crimped profile. The workpiece sheet has a preformed groove with a semi-circular base and nominally tangential walls (3) the tube being placed into the groove at the onset of the operation. All rollers are rotated with the friction effect used to feed the sheet.
