PURPOSE:To change the distribution of electric field for resonant mode and the resonant frequency of the resonator, by mechanically moving the location of the dielectric substance, through the provision of a hole on the dielectric resonator and insertion of the dielectric substance of low loss in the hole. CONSTITUTION:The low loss dielectric substance resonator 1 is placed on the MIC substrate, for example, the aluminum substrate 2, and the strip line 3 formed on the substrate 2 is electromagnetically coupled with the dielectric resonator 1. Further, the dielectric substance 4 of low loss is inserted to the hole 5 placed on the dielectric resonator 1. In TEO/delta mode of the cylindrical resonator, since the electric field at the center of cylinder is weak, it is possible to change the resonant frequency without giving fatal effect on the overall resonant mode even if a hole is made and the dielectric substance 4 of rod shape is inserted in the hole. |
