The transmitter receiver operates in the 30 to 32.5 GHz band and has a cone reflector (20) detachably mounted above a horn aerial (10) on a common vertical principal axis XX of propagation, to give an omnidirectional aerial pattern in a horizontal plane. The aerial (10) is adjusted for optimum reception or transmission and once the direction of the signal path is known, the reflector (20) is removed and the cone aerial (10) directed for optimum operation.
