RELIEVENG APPARATUS FOR USE IN GEAR SHAPERS

PURPOSE:To eliminate the generation of vibration and to improve processing accuracies by forming a member at a section coupled to a cutter head by an elastic body, and coupling it to the cutter head without a gap. CONSTITUTION:A cam shaft 3 rotating synchronously with the vertical strokes of a spindle 24 reciprocates a coupling member 22 comprising an elastic body by means of a coupled cam 4, a lever 5 and a shaft 6. Since the coupling member 22 is coupled to a cutter head 23, the cutter head 23 oscillates with a supporting shaft 9 as a supporting point. Thus, a gear 26 to be processed is ground at high precisions by a cutter 25 without vibration.
