Self-clamping collars moulded in situ from thermosetting resin - using mould shrinkable to generate the clamping force

Self-clamping collars for use as fittings on rods, tubes, guide rails etc. are moulded in situ from thermosetting resin, to use the natural contraction of such resins on curing to provide the clamping force. Used for mfr. of collars which can shift if sufficient force is applied. Mouldings are esp. made of glass reinforced resin.
