The cap is fitted with air internal thread (20) which matches the thread on the bottle. The base of the cap has a skirt (22) which covers an inner collar (24). The inner collar is forced over the broad ring on the bottle neck. The inner collar is attached to the side of the cap by a number of equally spaced segments (30). The segments are designed to shear when the cap is unscrewed, so that the collar remains below the ring (16) and the bottle may be opened.
