<p>Air-permeable mould component is made of micro-porous material. It is entirely made, at least within its operative zones, from that side facing the mould cavity as far as that side in contact with the environmental atmos., or microporous PTFE. The article is used in the de-gassing of moulding and/or vulcanising tools, i.e. to allow gases, vapours, etc. that arise during moulding and/or vulcanisation, to escape. In prior-art, venting holes tend to get filled with moulding cpd., thus forming unwanted deposits upon the resulting moulding which have subsequently to be machined off at relatively high cost.</p> |
