<p>All strips used in the manufacture of the tube are unwound from rollers and are fed in together. The strips are fed in independent of the irregularities of the edge of the strip. The edges of the strips are machined together to give the max. common width. The drive rollers of the drives engage with the strips in the region of the bending zone. The position of the edges of the strips relative to one another is measured. The measured values are fed to a control system and are converted into control signals for the machining arrangement for the strips.</p>
