The absorption pack is particularly for body fluids, being a mixture of two or more kinds of fibre. One is a moisture-absorbent one such as cottonwool or a cellulose regenerate. The other fibre is a moisture-resistant two-component one, the components being secured together and having different melting points. It forms a three-dimensional network, its fibres running in any direction and being welded together where they cross. The elastic resilient net so formed encloses the moisture-absorbent fibres, securing them separate from each other between the two-component fibres. |
