The belt, esp. conveyor belt, has >=1 textile reinforcing ply that takes up tensile stresses, 2 rubber outer plies, and opt. intermediate rubber plies each of which is interposed between any 2 adjacent textile plies. A relatively thin rubber separating ply is located intermediate each textile ply and the respective adjacent rubber ply. Its structural (sic) strength is lower than that of the rubber plies, and less than its adhesion to the textile ply. Specific., its structural strength is 3-12, pref. 6-10 N/mm, and it is 0.1-1, pref. 0.3-0.6 mm thick.
