Blended yarns of from 30-70% of polyvinyl chloride and from 70-30% of one or more other fibres are woven or knitted to form fabrics for bonding to sheets of polyvinyl chloride foam (see Division B5). The other fibres may be of wool, cotton, rayon, polyamides, polyesters, polyacrylonitrile or mixtures thereof; examples being given of both close- and open-woven fabrics and of single- and double-layer knitted fabrics having a plush effect. |
