On roadways providing tracks, with wheel-running surface and laterally protruding cross-guiding stem pieces, the functionally active points are for steerable passenger vehicles which can transfer to guided tracks. This involves fixed sections on inside cross-guiding stems with converging face edges equidistant from the intersection. One points tongue is hinged at this point, with its opposite side flanks correspondingly contoured. On the diverging end faces there is another points tongue extending towards the common third track applicable to the guide face of the relevant outside cross-guiding stem. All three tongues are kinematically coupled together so that the first and one of the other two combine to provide a continuous cross-guiding stem, according to switch position, the other one being lifted out of the way.
