The security licence plate is covered with a double layer of plastics foil, the layers being bonded together. The characters are printed onto the upper layer, as well as an embossed pattern of bubbles around the spaces of the characters. The foils cannot be separated without damage. The bubble pattern prevents addition of characters without pattern damage. The foils can also be fitted with security patterns and official seals to prevent any alterations.
