Non clogging valve for vehicle gritting attachment - has inverted bell shaped bottom cover and rotating servo drive for cap

The gritting reservoir for the vehicle has a gravity fed hopper(17) with the bottom port closed off by an inverted bell shaped element(14) operated by a spiral spindle(13) linked to a solenoid drive. As the solenoid is operated to lift the bell it rotates to prevent grit from clogging. The sides of the port are fitted with guides(11) to prevent build up of grit over the bell. The grit is dispensed in pulses to drop into an air line(5) through which it is blown in front of the relevant wheel.
