PURPOSE:To prepare a heat-stable phosphoglyceric acid kinase (an enzyme producing glyceric acid-3-phosphate and adenosine-triphosphate from glyceric acid-1,3-diphosphate and adenosine-diphosphoric acid) from specific bacteria. CONSTITUTION:Cells of bacteria obtained by the culturing of bacteria belonging to Thermus genus, e.g. thermus thermophilus HB-8, Thermus flavus BS1, AT61, AT62, etc. are disintegrated by ultrasonic treatment, etc., and the objective phosphoglyceric acid kinase is separated from the disintegrated cell. |
