PURPOSE:To provide the subject device wherein, at the time of changing fuel supply from a part of cylinders to that of all of cylinders, the bypass of the exhaustion system is immediately closed, and at the time of changing fuel supply from all of cylinders to that of a part of cylinders, the bypass is opened at a delay time corresponding to the operating condition, thereby preventing the lowering of exhaustion function. CONSTITUTION:For example, fuel injection valves 6a through 6c with respect to cylinders #1 through #3 in a 6-cylinder engine are cut off from the supply of fuel at the time of light load, and other injection valves 6d through 6f constantly inject fuel. An exhaustion manifold 10 is composed of an exhaustion path 10a for cylinders #1 through #3 resting at the time of light load and an exhaustion path 10b for cylinder #4 through #6. In the device thus constituted, a bypass 14 branched from the exhaustion path 10a at the time of operating a part of cylinders is opened, and at the time of operating all the cylinders, a change-over valve 13 for closing the above described path 14 and leading the full exhaust air to a three-element medium fusing device 17, and the change-over valve 13 is operated by delaying in correspondence to the operational condition at the time of operating a part of cylinders. |
