<p>PURPOSE:To effectively prevent granulated slag from caking by contacting the slag to carbon dioxide gas immediately after coarse crushing of the slag or within a predetermined time after the crushing. PURPOSE:Blast furnace granulated slag is contactd to carbon dioxide gas in coarse crushing of the slag or within 24 hr after the crushing. In case of continuous treatment, slag is continuously charged from the upper part of hopper 11 with conveyor 12, allowed to stay in hopper 11 for about 10-20 min, and continuously discharged with lower damper 13. In hopper 11, the slag is contacted to a CO2-contg. gas spouted from many gas spouting holes 14 of several introduction pipes 15 put down in the central part of hopper 11. Thus, the slag in the central part is violently moved and the slag in the peripheral part can be allowed to stay in the hopper for a relatively long time, so the slag undergoes sufficient oxidation.</p> |
