<p>PURPOSE: To perform cutting work by automatically maintaining pressure between a saw and a workpiece by an electronic means, to keep pressure applied between the workpiece and the saw blade at a given value. CONSTITUTION: The rotation speeds of a shaft 20 and a saw blade 12 are observed by a sensor 60, and desired speeds are given by standard signals 112 and are adjusted by a speed adjustor 102. The output of a motor 26 is observed by a circuit 119, while a desired load given to an arm 14 by a gear motor 42 is set by a standard load electric potential 140. These two signals are compared in the circuit 119, and when the electric power of the motor 26, based on the set electric potential 140 and a desired saw blade speed, reaches a some upper limit, the circuit 119 sends a signal to a comparator 126 to lower and reduce pressure to the arm 14 until the set output of the motor 26 becomes the maximum allowable level. Weight detected by a strain gage 52 in the comparator 126 is compared in order to desirably control the pressure of a workpiece applied to the saw 12, to be influenced by a motor 42 under the control of a speed adjustor 127.</p> |
