In a well pump with a jet pump coupled directly to the suction part of a rotary pump, for preventing a vacuum from occuring in the jet pump & improving its efficiency in drawing water from a shallow well without complicated jet casing, a throat (11) was fixed to the jet casing(9) & separated from a venturi tube(12) capable of moving. A valve member(19) capable of opening & colsing a bypass hole(c) being formed on the throat(11) was attached to the flange(18) of the venturi tube(12) controlled by a spring(13) actuated by the press. difference between the suction part(A) & discharge part(B).
