A continuous series of stuffed envelopes, which can be passed through a printer by perforate feeding strips 4, is built up by assembling a lower web 2, one or more slotted insert webs 5 and an upper web 7 with the slots 10 in the webs 5 extending to outside the strips 4. This is brought about by providing the webs with outer feeding strips 9, cut off after the webs are secured by adhesive 8. The webs 5 are continuous only in the part which is cut off, so they form discontinuous inserts within the envelopes, and do not interfere with folding of the envelope series about the slots 5. <IMAGE> |
