<p>A compsn. contains in aq. soln.: (i) >=1 11-18C alkyl or hydroxyalkyl polyglycoside surfactant contg. 5-25 glycoside units (ii) >=1 preservative, which is sodium ethyl merurithiosalicylate, a chlorhexidine salt, a phenylmercury salt, a 30/70 sodium benzoate/monochloracetamide mixt. or NR+Me2CH2PhCl-, (where R is a 12-18C alkyl, or alkyl mixt. e.g. 12-14C and 14-16C), and (iii) a phosphate buffer. The pH is 6.5-7.5, pref. 7-7.2. The compsn. is used to remove eye make-up. It is non-irritant and causes no eye trouble or stinging.</p> |
