The hydraulic bending machine is partic. used to form curved transverse metal frame members for greenhouses. A portal frame (1-4) with an intermediate cross beam (4) forms the sub-structure, pivoting counter blocks (5, 6) being mounted at each extremity of the latter beam and below two jacks (7, 8) fixed to the head beam (3). A moving beam (9) spans between the piston rods of the jacks, and accepts alternative filler pieces (10) to which demountable segmental saddles (11, 16) are fixed. The workpieces may be placed in the machine, initially spanning horizontally between the counter blocks, and being deformed progressively as the moving beam assembly descended.
