Gas flow regulator for burner - has piston with curved control surface working in cylinder to give smooth flow

The regulator valve has a body (1) with a small bore (6) and a larger cylinder (7). A piston (4) carries on 'O' ring the valve being sealed by an 'O' ring fitted inside a gland (8). Flow through the valve is regulated by the position of the piston which has a curved surface to give a smooth flow. An auxiliary valve (14) is connected to the passage (12) to allow a min. flow through the valve.
