Automatic washing for system milking machine - with washer connected to and operated by vacuum pump acting through deformable membrane valve

A milking machine with piston type vacuum pump can be washed with automatic washer by connecting a pipe from the pump to connection (1) of the washer. The milking apparatus is immersed in cleaning fluid fed to connection (2). A suction stroke of the pump deforms membrane (5) causing valve (4) to close and drawing fluid in through connection (2). The delivery stroke of the pump causes the membrane to seal connection (2) and expel liquid through outlet (3). The washing period can be controlled by a timer.
